Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia (Upper Lake Area)
Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia (Upper Lake Area)
The Lower Lake District is usually the most touristy area, because many tour groups that come by tour bus do not have that much time to visit the Upper Lake Area, so they can only visit the Lower Lake Area. There are two routes to visit the lake area: 1. Take a boat from number 3 on our map to number 4 and start visiting the lake, and 2. Drive directly from number 4 from entrance 2 to visit the lake. We drove from the B&B to the top of Waterfall No. 8, and then walked down the trail to No. 3 to catch the boat.
We took the boat from number 3, this boat is quite large, about 100 people without any problem, the wind is blowing on the boat, and the scenery on land is seen from the lake, the scenery is beautiful and green, which is even more divided for the whole trip! Although some people say that the scenery of this lake is not the same as Sun Moon Lake? However, the temperature and humidity of the environment are very different due to different latitudes and longitude, and the feeling is relatively different.
We got up early in the morning to prepare for today's tour of the Shanghu area, because our residence is located in a mountainous area at a fairly high altitude, located on Highway 42, whether you eat or buy things, you have to drive down the mountain, and there is a store on Highway 1, so we went down the mountain to buy some breakfast, and then drove back to our residence. At that time, I didn't ask the landlord whether it was the top or the bottom, but I walked the wrong path for almost 30 minutes, and I argued with Wei Li for a long time over the responsibility for the wrong path.
About 10 minutes by car from the B&B, park the car and start walking, this is the top of map No. 8, you can take the above photo from this angle, ordinary tourists do not have the opportunity to come to this place, unless they are driving and someone points them out to know the trick of the entrance.
This small house is the house marked in the photo on the left
When the boat approaches the pier (No. 4), you can see the gurgling water slipping out of the gaps in the mountains, and the trees in the side area change different colors in different seasons. Autumn maple trees and beeches bring colorful colors from orange to red; Winter is a world of ice and snow.
Pictured above is Lake Galovac, named in honor of a commander named Gal, who repelled the Ottoman Turks, which is the third largest of the 16 lakes, and the waterfall is 28 meters high...
The characteristic of Plitvice Lakes Waterfall is not the turbulence, but the tranquility created by the wisps of silk-soft flowing water
The clear lake water reflects people's reflections like mirrors
This photo shows a ringed waterfall with a drop of more than 10 meters, which is a very unique, famous, and must-see scenery in the Plitvice Lakes area
Plitvice Lakes National Park hardly uses artificial facilities, at most local materials and paved with wooden plank paths, so that travelers who want to enjoy nature here can get closer to the flowers and plants in the park
After walking for a long time, I wanted to go to the toilet so I could only endure it, I asked people to know that No. 5 is a rest area, it is the second restroom we met, this rest area sells roast chicken (delicious), bread, coffee and sparkling drinks, etc., if you are like us, you can come here to have lunch, these are Japanese aunts in the photo.
After the break, I asked the information center about a section of the trail that is now closed, so we couldn't go around there, we took another trail to return to the place where we took the boat, and the next photo is the scenery on this section.
Lake Ciginovac, which means gypsy in Croatian, is said to have been fished here and drowned, so the origin of the lake's name is related to drowning, which is really a strange name
In this photo of Wei Li reaching out to introduce the beauty of the waterfalls in Plitvice Lakes National Park, our journey is coming to an end today.
