Kaffi Krókur
Nestled among the town's bustling cafe scene, Kaffi Ilmur stood like a warm and delicious beacon, drawing me in for two days of delightful dining. Each visit proved its unparalleled charm and high-quality food. However, what truly set this cafe apart was the genuine kindness of the owner, who not only crafted impeccable drinks but also brought genuine warmth to our family.
My daily favorite, their draft beer, proved a symphony of flavors, with each sip consistently delivering on its promise of perfection. Beyond the drinks, the food was a tantalizing adventure, each dish meticulously crafted to leave our taste buds yearning for more. For those seeking a harmonious blend of ambiance and excellence, Kaffi Ilmur is an unparalleled destination.
I highly recommend this foodie haven; every visit is not only a delicious meal, but also a treasured memory to savor for days to come. We visited twice, ordering a variety of dishes, including burgers, chicken pasta, and fish chips.
Hotel Mikigardur is where we stayed. It's quite large, but not many people were there when we arrived, probably because it was early June and summer had just begun. We asked the receptionist about Puffin, and she called for us, but the answer was the same: the boat wouldn't leave until Monday. We were curious why such a large hotel would be built in such a place, given there aren't any special attractions. The receptionist explained that Iceland is just an island, and if you rent a car to travel around the island, many people prefer smaller places like this.
