MSC World Europa

MSC World Europa is a large, innovative cruise ship, entering service in 2022. This is the first of MSC Cruises' "World Class" ships, renowned for its cutting-edge design, liquefied natural gas propulsion, and commitment to environmental sustainability. The ship boasts a wealth of amenities, including numerous dining and entertainment options, making it a floating city at sea. Among them is The Spiral, a spiral slide offering direct access from the roof to the mid-ship promenade. The ship also features 13 dining experiences, including the American steakhouse Butcher's Cut, the Asian teppanyaki and sushi restaurant Kaito Teppanyaki and Sushi Bar, and the South American casual dining restaurant HOLA. MSC World Europa primarily offers seven-night cruises to the Western Mediterranean, typically visiting Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Messina, and Valletta. Some itineraries also include Civitavecchia (Rome). Staggered embarkation and disembarkation are available, allowing passengers to conveniently begin or end their journeys at different ports. We haven't been on a cruise in almost ten years. I've been feeling unwell lately, so my wife suggested we take it easy and drive ourselves. So, we decided to do a half-cruise, half-travel trip. We chose the MSC Mediterranean cruise, as we haven't visited Pompeii in Naples, Sicily, or Marseille, France. As for our travel options, we'll be visiting Milan, Lake Como, Switzerland, and other destinations based on our geographic location. My cousin lives in Germany but works in Switzerland, so we'll be visiting them during the last few days.

Anyone who has been on a cruise knows that the most free time is spent on board. So, let's take advantage of this time and take some close-up photos of people with the cruise ship as the background. Isn't it great?

This page is dedicated to our cruise room, and the most special thing about it is the daily premium dinner. Now that we're entering our early twilight years, we shouldn't be choosing windowless rooms on the ground floor to save money like we did when we were younger. This time, we had a balcony with a sea view, which was a completely different experience. The most special thing about dinner was that we were served at a fixed time, at a fixed table, by a dedicated waiter. These waiters were incredibly hardworking and friendly. They all came from relatively poor countries like India, Indonesia, and Africa, and their contracts required them to stay on the ship for eight to ten months.
