The best vantage point for watching the sunset in Oia is this abandoned fortress. You'll find it by walking down the main street or following the crowds. As sunset approaches, crowds of tourists flock to the fortress, so arrive early to get a good spot. When we arrived, many people were already vying for a spot. To get a good view, we had to climb the fortress, which faces the sunset. Because of the crowds, we had to stand in the second row. Fortunately, the tourists in front of me left first, so I quickly moved from the second row to the front. Two Korean women nearby saw my equipment and, thinking I must be a skilled photographer, quickly asked me to take their picture. From this side, you can also admire the traditional cave houses tucked into the hillside. It's like something out of a postcard: the dreamy white houses glow red in the sunlight, complementing the sunset beautifully.

The settings were ISO 100 / f 8.0 / 25mm / 1/25 sec. I also used a graduated filter and finally retouched it in Lightroom.

Looking at the traditional cave houses on the mountainside from this side, it is like the scenery seen from a postcard. The dreamy white houses are red in the reflection of the sunlight, reflecting the sunset scenery.

Mama's House Restaurant is the restaurant where we had dinner in Fira. There were not many people eating there, so I was a little nervous, thinking that the food might not be tasty. But it turned out to be very delicious.
